As you approach The Brownstone Inn on Prospect Avenue, you will find it easily identifiable from the adjoining four Brownstone doors by the peacock blue double entrance doors at the top of the stone steps. Just in front on the tree lawn, notice America’s largest Elm Tree dating to 1860, designated by a
plaque. Entering through that peacock blue door you will step into the vestibule with handcrafted opulence representative of a 19th Century Victorian brownstone home. On the walls of the grand foyer and on the stairway you will see elegant patented French period wallpaper, applied in 1976 when this 4-story brownstone was renovated in honor of America’s 200th bicentennial celebration. To your immediate left through tall arched pocket doors is the parlor with comfortable couches, a reading lamp, and an old working Jewett and Goodman pump-organ. A relaxation room where you will also find the daily New York Times. To your right and through another pocket door is the grand foyer, and just beyond is the large Red Dining Room boasting a traditional marble fireplace. This is where breakfast is served.
Come, Enjoy and let me teach you some of Cleveland’s history.
To the right through the tall arched pocket doors is the parlor. There are couches, a reading lamp, an old upright player piano and daily newspapers, making this a convenient place for you to linger.

Located downtown, this 1874 historic Victorian townhouse is close to
restaurants and shopping. It is nine miles from Cleveland Hopkins
International Airport. Renovated in 1976, this inn has retained its
elegance. Beautiful French wallpaper adorns the foyer and front
stairway. Guests can relax and read the newspaper in the downstairs
parlor with its
couches and fireplace. Another fireplace is found in the large dining
room.
